Instructions for installation and use of the control unit TYPE: CRS
The CRS-435XG single-channel control unit is designed to control
drives for roller shutters, gates and roll-up grilles
The CRS-435XG control unit is used to control drives supplied with
230V AC. The control unit can be controlled locally (with a suitable
button) or remotely, by radio control using a remote control. It is
equipped with a signal input from security devices. In order for the
control unit to respond to commands from the remote control, the remote
control code must be registered in the control unit. A maximum of 15
different codes can be registered with the control unit. Signals from the
remote control or local control button cause the following cycle:
movement in the direction of opening, stopping, movement in the
direction of closing, stopping. A signal from the photocell in the closing
phase will stop the drive and prevent it from restarting in the closing
direction until the photocell signal stops. Movement in the opening
direction will be possible despite the presence of a signal from the
photocell. The operating time in either direction is limited. The limitation
value is adjustable with a potentiometer between 10 and 120 s.
1. Safety instructions
1.1 Basic guidelines
The CRS-435XG control unit is commissioned in a condition for safe
installation and operation, provided that all instructions in the operating
manual and the valid safety and accident prevention regulations
applicable to the application (e.g. gate or roller shutter) are observed.
Only qualified and authorised persons should work on the installation
and repair of electrical equipment.
Alterations or modifications to the CRS-435XG control unit are not
permitted. Warranty repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer.
Only original spare parts and accessories must be used for post-warranty
repairs.
The operational safety of the supplied CRS-435XG control unit is only
guaranteed when used in accordance with the manufacturer's
specifications. The limits specified in the technical data must not be
exceeded under any circumstances.
1.2 Supplementary safety provisions
When installing, commissioning, maintaining the control unit, the
important safety and accident prevention regulations applicable to the
application (e.g. gate or roller shutter) must be observed. The following
regulations require special attention:
1. Fire regulations
2 Accident prevention provisions.
1.3 General comments on hazards and safety measures
The specified notes are general guidelines for the use of INEL controls
in combination with other devices. These instructions must be strictly
adhered to during installation and operation of the devices.
CAUTION Warning of possible damage to the control or
other fixed values if appropriate precautions are not
taken.
Check the fixing of all screw connections before installing the control
and setting the limit switches.

Danger - Indicates that there is a danger to the life and
health of the user if appropriate precautions are not taken.
Check the fixing of all screw connections before
installing the control and setting the limit switches.
Observe the safety and accident prevention regulations applicable to
the application (e.g. gate, roller shutter).
Before replacing fuses, disconnect the supply lines, then replace the
fuse and reconnect the supply lines.
The installation of the CRS-435XG must be carried out with the
safety and protective devices required by the relevant regulations.
Controls containing crush protection systems with a sensor mounted
on the door, which relies on the door contacting an obstacle, must not
cause injury resulting from the movement of the door.
For INEL equipment with a constant mains supply, a circuit breaker
providing a safe voltage break (e.g. a fuse disconnector) should be
used for the control in addition to the fuse protection, installed so that
all connections can be easily disconnected.
Conductors and cables should be checked regularly for insulation
damage and localised breaks.
If cables are found to be damaged, the damaged cables must be
replaced after the mains supply has been switched off immediately.
Before switching on, it is necessary to check that the permissible
device voltage is compatible with the local supply voltage.
1.4 Warning - important for personal safety:
do not let children play with the controls;
keep the remote control out of the reach of children;
watch a moving device (e.g. gate, awning) and keep people away
until it is fully open or closed;
users of the gate must be trained and instructed in the operation of
the gate and the dangers inherent in its use. People may be considered
trained if the employer, administrator or owner has allowed them to
operate the gate and has instructed them on how to use it.
