PRECAUTIONS

ALWAYS turn amplifier power OFF before attempting to connect the speaker.
ALWAYS connect the + add — wires to the proper terminals on the amplifier.
ALWAYS make sure the S300 is rested solidly to prevent it from tipping over during operation.
NEVER drive the S300 with more than its maximum rated capacity. This could result in distortion and could possible damage the speakers.
NEVER operate the S300 outside its nominal impedance of 8 ohms. ALWAYS check "CONNECTION IN PARALLEL" when setting up speakers to operate in parallel.

CONNECTION IN PARALLEL

The two input jacks are connected in parallel inside the unit so that connections can easily be made as shown in the diagram. Power amplifiers are normally designed for stable operation with 4 or 8 ohm impedance loads. NEVER CONNECT MORE THAN TWO SPEAKER UNITS IN PARALLEL unless the power amplifier is designed to operate with a load impedance lower than 4 ohms.

INSTALLATION OF XLR TYPE CONNECTORS

The phone jacks on the S300 can be replaced by XLP connectors if desired. Simply remove the phone jacks by unscrewing the two screws which hold them in place.

PHONE PLUG WIRING

The standard input terminals for this unit are 1 /4" phone jacks. Connect the speaker lends as shown in this diagram.
