Making Coffee

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

(Important)

  1. Move the coffee maker from the package, and check the accessories according to the list.
  2. Remove the red silicone from the water tank before using the coffee maker;
  3. Clean all detachable parts;
  4. Fill the water tank with water and puti it back on the machine, and close the water tank cover;
  5. Connect the power plug all the indicators light up for about Is, and the res a buzzer, the machine passes the select. Press "", the coffee machine starts to preheat, "" lights.on, "" and "" flash, screen display "". Alter about 1 minute, the preheating is complete, "" "" "" lights on, screen display setting temperature.
  6. Press and hold "" "" at the same time for 2 seconds to enter the temperature unit switching mode "" Press and hold for 2 seconds, the temperature unit can be switched from Celsius to Fahrenheit ""
  7. After the preheating is completed, turn the steam knob counterclockwise to the maximum position, and the electromagnetic pump works until continuous hot water comes out from the steam pipe and lasts for 5 seconds (this process takes 1-2 minutes) to clean the steam pipe, and then tum off the steam switch;
  8. Rotate counterclockwise to install the portafilter the machine, press the "" to let hot water come out to clean the coffee filter and cup.

MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE

(Double-cup Coffee for example)

  1. Open the lid, take out water tank, and pour appropriate water into tank. Do not exceed the MAX capacity,
  2. Put back the water tank and close the id;
  3. Connect power plug, press Power button, all indicator lamp will light on about 1s, then coffee lamps are flashing, machine start preheating, preheating will be finished after 1min, power lamp and coffee indicator lamp will always light on, steam indicator lamp light off;
  4. Put the coffee powder (16 to 16.5 grams) into a double filter cup. Press the powder down with the bottom of the coffee spoon. Remove the powder from the sides of the filter cup.
    warning Note: If too much coffee powder remains at the edge of the screen, it is easy to cause poor sealing and water leakage.
  5. Rotate the high-pressure porta filter assembly counterclockwise from position tightened)
  6. Put cup(s} under portafilter;
  7. Press the double cup of coffee button, the machine starts to extract coffee, automatic extraction until the machine stops working (buzzer prompt);
  8. The coffee machine stops working automatically (the breathing light changes from blinking to steady on),
    the coffee is finished, and then remove the coffee cup;

    Do not leave the coffee machine unattended during the coffee making process, as it sometimes requires manual operation.
  9. After making the coffee, turn clockwise to remove the high-pressure portafilter assembly, clean the coffee grounds in the filter cup and rinse with hot water. Press a single or double coffee button and run water to rinse the coffee grounds out of the outlet.
  10. When making single cup of coffee, select a single cup of coffee filter, press the single cup of coffee switch when making, the other steps are the same as making a double cup of coffee.

    Do not touch the hot surfaces of the machine with hands to avoid scald, especially the brewing outlet and the steam nozzle when use machine.

Set the coffee temperature

  1. Press and hold "" "" at the same time for 2 seconds to enter brew temperature setting from 25°C (cold brew only) to 90-95°C (hot brew)
  2. Each press "" to decrease 1°C for hot brew.
  3. Each press "" to increase 1°C for hot brew.
  4. The set temperature is shown in the display.
  5. Save the settings and exit after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Set the coffee pre-brew time

  1. Press and hold "" "" at the same time for2 seconds to enter pre-brew time setting from 1~10s.
  2. Each press "" to decrease 1 second.
  3. Each press " " to increase 1 second,
  4. The set pre-brew time is shown in the display.
  5. Save the settings and exit after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Set the coffee volume

  1. Press and hold "" for 2 seconds to set single cup coffee volume from 25~150mL;
  2. Or Press and hold " " for 2 seconds to set double cup coffee volume from 50~300mL.
  3. Each press "" to decrease 5mL.
  4. Each press " " to increase 5mL.
  5. The set coffee volume is shown in the display.
  6. Save the settings and exit after 5 seconds of inactivity

MAKING HOT WATER

  1. Put a container under hot water outlet
  2. When " " " " and " " indicator lights always keep on, open steam knob, rotate it to the maximum, position, hot water will be come out from hot water pipe immediately (Maximum work 2 minute) In the process of making hot water, the single-cup coffee and Double-cup coffee' s light are breathing;
  3. When the hot water reaches the required amount, turn the "steam knob" clockwise to the off position, and the hot water stops flowing out.
    warning Note: When using, be careful of the hot parts of the machine. Especially the water outlet (portafilter holder), hot water nozzle and steam pipe. When operating, please do not put your hands on the above parts for any reason.

PRODUCTION OF MILK FOAM

  1. Take a special steel cup, pour into about 8°C cold full fat pure milk 1/3 cup; (Can't be hot);
    warning Note: When selecting a cup size, it is recommended that the diameter of the cup be no less than 70±5mm. As the volume of milk will increase after foaming, make sure that the cup has enough height.
  2. Press , it stars preheating, Single-cup, Double-cup coffee and manual coffee button indicator go out, steam indicators flashing, then wait until the steam indicator lights on, now preheating finished.
  3. Put an empty cup under the steam pipe, turn the "steam knob" counterclockwise to the maximum position, release a little water in the steam pipe, and turn the "steam knob" clockwise to turn off the steam after the steam comes out.
  4. Put a stainless-steel cup under steam nozzle. Let the steam pipe nozzle soak below the surface of the milk;
  5. Open steam knob, rotate it to the maximum position to froth milk;
  6. When desired milk foam reaches, turn off the knob then the steam stops.
    warning Note: After the steam stops spraying, please clean the steam pipe assembly immediately and discharge the milk in the pipe to prevent the milk froth from scaling on the pipe surface. During the operation, the surface temperature of the steam pipe is high. Make sure not to be scalded.

Set the steam temperature

  1. Press and hold for 2 seconds to set single cup coffee volume from 125~150°C;
  2. Each press " " to decrease the temperature 5°C;
  3. Each press:" to increase the temperature 5°C;
  4. The set temperatures shown in the display,
  5. Save the settings and exit after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Lower the temperature

  1. Put a container under hot water outlet;
  2. Press "" or "", display shows "hot";
  3. Open steam knob, rotate it to the maximum position;
  4. When the boiler temperature drops to the set coffee extraction temperature, the water pump will stop automatically;
  5. Turn the steam knob clockwise to close the steam tube channel;
  6. When "" "" is always on, coffee can be re-made.

Clean and maintenance

A DAILY MAINTENANCE

  1. The machine has to be switched off and cooled down after each use;
  2. Use a clean damp cloth to clean the stainless-steel surface;
    warning Note: Do not use abrasive sponges and alcohol or solvents.
    Do not immerse the machine into water.
  3. Clean the outlet and the seal sing under the group head with professional brush;
  4. Clean steam outlet, confirm there is no blockage
  5. Detach the metal portafilter through tum it anticlockwise, get rid of coffee residue inside, then you can clean it with cleanser, but at last you must rinse with clean water.
  6. Clean all the attachments in the water and dry thoroughly.
  7. Clean drip tray and removable shelf regularly then dry ther.
  8. Clean water tank regularly

CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS

  1. The machine builds up lime scale deposits over time, and you need descale the machine 2-3 months;
  2. Pour water and descale in water tank up to MAX capacity (water and descale ratio is 4:1, follow the instruction of descale. Please use "household descale" or you can use the citric acid replace descale (water and citric acid ratio is 100:3);
  3. Lock the filter holder (no coffee powder) into the group head. According to "MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE";
  4. Place a large-capacity container under portafiter and the hot water outlet. Press and hold " " at the same time for more than two seconds to enter the automatic descaling function of the coffee channel, " " " " is always on.
  5. Unscrew the steam knob and press to clear the steam channel, and the water pump will stop automatically after 500mlis discharged;
  6. Alter turning off the steam knob, press " " to clear the coffee channel, and the water pump will stop automatically after 500mlis discharged;
  7. Allow the descaling agent to settle in the machine for at least 15 minutes;
  8. Refill the water tank with clean water and repeat the step 5-6 at least 3 times to make sure the piping is cleanly.
  9. Finally press " " to ext the descaling program and return to normal working mode.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Problem Cause/Result Solution
No water comes out. Water tank is empty. Fill the tank with water and turn on the steam knob until hot water comes out continuously from the steam pipe.
The red silicone cover inside the water tank is not removed. Remove the red silicone cover inside the water tank.
The input voltage or frequency is inconsistent with nameplate. Make sure the voltage and frequency are consistent with the nameplate.
Machine malfunctions. Please contact with the authorized service.
No steam is generated Steam nozzle clogged. Clean steam nozzle.
Water tank is empty. Fill the tank with water and turn on the steam knob until Now you can start to steam.
The steam knob is closed after pressing the steam button. Turn the steam know anticlockwise to turn on the steam function.
Machine malfunctions. Please contact with the authorized service.
Coffee runs out around the edge of
the filter holder.
Too much powder in the filter. Turn off the machine and wait for it cool down, clean the filter, then pour appropriate coffee powder.
There is powder in the seal ring under group head.
Implementation of the above operation problems still exist. Please contact with the authorized service.
Coffee comes out too
slow or no coffee comes out.
Coffee powder is too fine, and clogged filter. With thicker coffee powder.
Filter holes are blocked. Brush / clean the filter.
The red silicone cover inside the water tank is not removed. Remove the red silicone cover inside the water tank.
The steam knob is open. Turn the steam knob clockwise to turn it off.
Water tank is not inserted. Insert the water tank in place,
Water leakage on the
bottom of machine.
Drip tray is filled up. Please clean the drip tray.
Machine malfunctions. Please contact with the authorized service.
Machine is not working, The power cord is not plugged well, Plug the power cord into a wall outlet correctly,
NTC is short circuit. Please contact with the authorized service.
Machine malfunctions.
The steam cannot froth. Steam indicator not light on. Wait steam indicator lights on.
The milk container is too big or the shape is not fit. Use high and narrow cup or garland cup.
Used skimmed milk. Use whole milk.

  10. Remove plug from wall outlet before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance to cool down completely before taking off attaching components or before cleaning.
  11. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
  12. The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  13. Place appliance on flat surface or table, do not hang its power cord over the edge of table or counter;
  14. Be careful to ensure that the power cable does not become trapped and does not rub against sharp edges.
  15. Ensure that the power cord does not touch hot surface of appliances
  16. Do not touch with hand directly, Use the handle of the portafilter;
  17. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse appliance or power cord into water or any other liquids;
  18. Do not use outdoors, It must be protected against freezing conditions;
  19. Do not fill more than upper MAX mark, when pure water in water tank;
  20. Once the fault, defect or machine drop caused by suspicious defect, unplug the power plug immediately, do not operate on the problem machines
  21. Save these instructions booklet for future reference;
  22. Do not immerse the machine into water.
