- Page 4 PREPARING YOUR ICE MAKER FOR USE When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons or property. There are two ways to add water: Add water directly to the water reservoir at the back of the unit; Take out the water reservoir to add water then put it back.
