Aligning the lock dock
- Grab all the Lock Dock components: bottom part, top plate, Allen Key #2.5 and four bolts.

- Place the bottom part of the Lock Dock around the seat tube and slide it down.

- This step is only required for VanMoof X3 and X4 bikes – if you have a VanMoof S3 or S4, skip this step: Remove the adapter from the PowerBank's front side.

- Unfasten the PowerBank straps.

- Grab the PowerBank, and slide it down so that it sits on the cross area between the seat tube and down tube. Push up the Lock Dock up, until the PowerBank's insert fits naturally.

- After making sure that the alignment is correct, remove the PowerBank from the Lock Dock.

- Place the Lock Dock top plate onto the bottom part and align the screw hole. Make sure that the Lock Dock stays in position while doing this.
Securing the Lock Dock
- Screw the first bolt into location 1 with Allen key #2.5 to fasten the top plate of the Lock Dock on the bottom part.
Note
Be careful – knocking the bottom part will push the Lock Dock out of position. - Press the bottom part and top plate together to align the bolt hole in position 2.
Screw the bolt into location 2 with Allen key #2.5 (The bolt should fit in perpendicular to the top plate as shown below)
- Screw in all remaining bolts making sure that the Lock Dock stays in position.
- Make sure the lock pin is not pushed in. If it is, use the provided key to release the lock pin by twisting clockwise then counterclockwise to release the lock pin and remove the key fully.
Mounting the PowerBank

- Unfasten and stretch the front and rear straps.
- Hold the PowerBank in the correct direction. Slide it down until it makes contact with the down tube and seat tube.
Note
If you have an S3 or S4 bike, make sure the adapter is attached to the two side covers.

- Use the velcro straps to secure the PowerBank onto the frame.
Before securing the PowerBank, make sure that:
- Both the frame and the battery are clean to avoid scratches.
- T he cable goes through the rubber opening.
- The front and back cushioning pads are kept in position and not folded.
- The straps are not in between the frame and the PowerBank.
- Push the lock pin in to secure it. As shown in the image below.

- Make sure the battery is locked when leaving it attached to your bike. To unlock it, simply insert the provided key and twist clockwise then counterclockwise to release the lock pin (A). Then detach the velcro straps (B).
Charging your bike with the PowerBank
- Connect the PowerBank cable (A) to the bike's charging port. Push the power button (B) once to show current capacity, and to start charging.
- Make sure the charging port cap (C) is secured when it is not in use. Bear in mind that if it is not secured water might go in and damage the battery.
Charging the PowerBank
- Open the charging port cap (C), and insert your VanMoof charger cable.
- Connect the charger directly to a power source. Never use extension cords.
Note
Close the charging port cap when not in use.
Avoid placing the battery upside down, this may press the power button.
Follow these simple tips to keep your PowerBank running in perfect condition for longer:
- Only use the official VanMoof battery charger.
- Charge you PowerBank indoors, in a well-ventilated dry location (moisture and extreme temperature fluctuations can affect the charging process).
- Your bike and PowerBank will charge best at temperatures between 0 - 30°C (32 - 86°F).
- Place the charger on a hard surface and make sure it is never covered. Never place it on carpet or textile surfaces as the charger may get hot in use (up to 40-50°C).
- Do not charge your PowerBank if the charger or plug is damaged. If in doubt, contact us immediately.
- If you don't plan to use your PowerBank for a long period of time, make sure it gets a full charge cycle every six months.

Important & Warnings
- Charge the battery indoors, and in a dry, well-ventilated location.
- Avoid reverse charging. Do not plug the battery into itself.
- Always keep the charging port closed with the rubber cap when it's not in use. Do not let water get inside the port.
- Pulling the charging port cap forcefully may cause failure of the cap.
- Avoid charging the PowerBank or opening the charging port cap if there is a risk of water going into the charging port. This may cause corrosion of the charging port and function would be affected.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery, dangerous failure of the product may occur, and the warranty will become invalid.
- Protect the PowerBank from drops and strong impacts.
- If the PowerBank case is damaged, stop using it immediately and contact VanMoof customer service.
- For your safety, please read this manual completely before using the PowerBank, and keep this manual for future reference.
- Misusing the PowerBank may cause personal injury and damage.
- Do not burn, disassemble, or short-circuit the PowerBank.
- If the performance of the PowerBank decreases substantially, it may need to be replaced.
- Always inspect the PowerBank and stop using it if leakage, strange odors, color changes, deformation, or any unusual occurrences are detected.
- Store the PowerBank in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Disconnect the main power supply before removing or mounting the PowerBank.

- Provide adequate ventilation during charging.
- Keep electrical appliances out of reach from children or infirm people. Do not let them use the appliances without supervision.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical or sensory capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
