Macro mode shooting

Focusing is usually slow when you get close to a subject (20 cm to 80 cm)
(0.7 ft. to 2.6 ft.). However, in the & mode focusing is performed quickly.
When the optical zoom is at the maximum position and you are as close as
20 cm (0.7ft.) to your subject, you can fill the entire frame with a business
card-sized subject.
Normal shooting

Turn the control dial while
holding down AF/&/MF and
select &.
• & is displayed on the control panel.
• The subject is displayed on the
monitor when you release your finger
from the AF/&/MF button.
• If you are close to a subject, the picture in the viewfinder is different
from the area that the camera actually records. For macro mode

shooting, use the monitor.
• If you use the flash in macro shooting, shadows may be noticeable
and the correct exposure may not be achieved.
