components and connect the piping
Circulation pumps (P1 & P2)
Install one circulation pump per zone. P1 for Zone 1
and P2 for Zone 2. Both P1 and P2 runs
continuously when heating or cooling is active. The
pumps must be ON/OFF-type 230V pumps with
manual settings.
Mixing valves with actuator (MV1 & MV2)
Mixing valves are used in systems with two heating
zones to generate the correct supply temperature
for each zone.
Primary flow sensor (TV1 & TV2)
Must be installed after every mixing valve.
6.9 Mount the drainpipe
The waste pipe is connected to the waste system,
either directly to the floor drain or via a funnel. The
waste pipe must slope towards the waste system,
be installed frost-free and left open to the
atmosphere/without pressure and fitted to the
waste system.
A safety valve (2.5 bar) for the heating circuit must
be fitted in accordance with applicable regulations.
6.10 Install a filling loop
All installations require a filling loop connected
between the cold-water supply and the hot water
return, but different markets have different
standard practices and regulations for the filling
loop design. The below overviews are guides for
Italian, German and UK regulations and must be
followed.
United Kingdom
The filling loop installations in the United Kingdom
must conform to BS EN 13959 using WRAS
approved articles. This design is the same as in
Italy but require a temporary flexible braided hose
between the double check valve and stop valve on
the central heating return side.

5. Shut off valve
6. Central heating return
Italy
The filling loop installation must follow DIN EN 1717
in Italy which is illustrated below. This installation
includes a double check valve with stop valves on
both water supply and heating side.

2. Shut off valve
3. Double check valve

5. Central heating return
Germany
Always install the filling loop according to DIN EN
1717 in Germany. This design similarly includes two
stop valves but has a strainer and chamber with a
drainage instead of the double check valve as in
Italy.
