  • Page 5 2. Volume: This control determines the overall volume level of the amplifier. Due to the simplicity of the Defender 5H’s all-tube circuitry, a wide range of tones can be obtained with the use of this control alone.
  • Page 6 DEFENDER 5H Back Panel Speaker Output: These three ¼-inch jacks are for use with an external speaker cabinet. The Defender 5H may be used with one speaker cabinet rated at 4-, 8- or 16-ohms. Be sure to connect the speaker cabinet to the correct output jack with the matching impedance.
  • Page 7 DEFENDER 5H AC Mains 1. AC Power Cord Receptacle: AC power cord can be removed for easy storage and replacement if damaged. Insert the AC cord (provided) firmly into the AC receptacle. NOTE: Replace the AC power cord if protective jacket is damaged or ground pin is damaged or removed.
