apu shutdown procedures

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson

The APU shutdown procedures for the Boeing 737-800 are as follows:

1. Operate the APU for one full minute with no bleed air load before shutdown. This cooling period helps extend the APU's service life.
2. When the APU switch is moved to OFF:
- The APU generator is tripped.
- The APU bleed air valve closes.
- The APU GEN OFF BUS light extinguishes.
3. Shutdown occurs automatically after these steps.

These procedures ensure proper cooling and system protection.
