Startup Charging the detector battery The battery of the MAX wi-D is automatically charged when the detector is properly inserted in the holder at the back of the unit, indicated by a blinking battery LED of the detector. External battery charger Batteries of MAX wi-D and MAX mini are inter- changeable and can be charged both in the ex- ternal battery charger.
Startup Changing the detector battery Let the battery run down completely. Open the locking system of the battery as shown in the figure. Remove the discharged battery. Orientate the charged battery in the correct position: battery connector (1) facing the de- vice connector (2).
2. Switch on the generator and the imaging system. 3. Register the patient: Select patient from worklist or enter patient data. 4. Align the Mobilett Mira Max. 5. Release the articulated arm and lift the X-ray tube assembly. 6. Put the detector into a sterile cover.
Startup Warm-up time from a cold start After a cold start (battery completely empty), it is possible to operate the detector, but with re- duced image quality. Therefore, avoid the bat- tery getting empty. The detector reaches good image quality again after a maximum of 120 minutes (typically 60 minutes).
