PREPARING THE CAMERA

Installing the Battery
We highly recommend you to use the specified
rechargeable lithium-ion battery to realize the full capability
of your digital still camera before initial use. Make sure that
the power of the digital still camera is off before inserting or
removing the battery.
1. Slide the battery cover in the direction of the [OPEN]
arrow.
2. Insert the battery in the correct orientation as shown in
the illustration.
3. Close the battery cover.
To remove the batteries
Hold the camera with the battery cover facing upward, then open the battery cover and
remove the batteries.
NOTE
Be careful not to drop the batteries when opening or closing the battery cover.

Docking Cradle

With the docking cradle, you can position your digital still camera and connect it to other
media devices to play back your images, video clips, or voice recording files (output to a
TV monitor or another recorder recording device, for example) on your desktop. The
cradle will facilitate the battery charge of the camera in conjunction with an AC power
adapter.
1. Position the camera on the cradle.
2. Match the docking connectors and carefully insert the camera until it fits in place.
