In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.

Before First Use Remove all packing materials and stickers from the inside and outside of the unit. Be sure that all parts are included before throwing out packaging. Gently wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth or paper towel. Never immerse the coffee maker, its base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. -
