    6. Installation Silver is designed to be mounted into a standard 19-inch rack. The unit includes two rack ears for mounting. Mount the unit into the equipment rack using two screws supplied with your rack for each rack ear. Keep one rack unit clearance above the unit for cooling.

    IR Input must follow 568B. 3. Speaker Channel Connections. Connect only Lencore speakers to the speaker channel connectors using cat5e cable with RJ45 connectors. The wiring for the speaker cable must follow 568B. Note: Refer to the specific speaker type data sheet for the number of speakers allowed on each speaker channel and for speaker mounting requirements.

    The addition of Lencore’s Head-End G8350 can be used to add networked functionality. The Head-End includes System Manager software for additional functions and control. The Silver unit can be used for background music and paging with the addition of an MPI (Music Page Interface) model G1505.
  • Page 9: Wiring Speaker Cable

    Additional Silver units can be added when additional speakers are needed to cover a larger area. A wall-mountable IR keypad can be added to allow adjustments of volume levels from the keypad for sound masking, music, and paging from any office. The IR keypad also includes an IR receiver for the hand-held remote control.
