Start-up

Prerequisites

DANGER
Operation with excess pressure poses a risk of fatal injury
Excess pressure in the system causes parts / connections to come loose. Hydraulic uid escapes at
high speeds. Serious injuries or death.
► No one is permitted to enter the danger zone.
► Wear protective equipment.
► Protect the operating personnel by using cladding on the system during operation.
Malfunctions due to trapped air
The trapped air volume in an inadequately bled system may lead to faults.
Bleed the hydraulic system:
► during initial start-up,
► Every time the hydraulic system is opened.
Check that the hydraulic system has been properly connected.

Stationary setup: Cylinder modules with servo power modules are mounted on the hydraulic

cylinders. The tank modules are mounted on the machine frame.
Hydraulic: Piping, hosing (the tank modules are each connected with the corresponding
°
cylinder module).
Electrical: Wiring, power supply, controller.
°
The tank modules are lled with oil (lling level at least 295 mm).

The cylinders are retracted and secured against lowering.
■
The press beam is not mounted.
■
Suction/bleeding of the servo power module is performed separately on each hydraulic power
■
unit (left/right).
The pressure relief valve 11-RV1 is set to 320 bar at the factory.

The diaphragm accumulator 81-CM1/82CM1 must be lled to p0 with nitrogen (only for cylinder
■
block with slow up option).
