LN
Level Measurement
2
A differential pressure system is used to measure the LN
on the principle that the pressure generated by a fluid column is proportional to the depth of that fluid
column. The difference between the pressure measured at the inside bottom of the freezer and
atmospheric pressure determines the pressure generated by the LN
or centimeters of LN
pressurized gas to ensure the differential pressure signal is unobstructed. This differential pressure
system allows for an accurate and reliable method of monitoring the LN
To check the LN

NOTE: Cryo Store Picos feature a second, redundant LN
independent third-party level monitoring or troubleshooting, or in the event of a main line
blockage. This second annular line is offset from the main lines, located higher up in the
freezer.
