    It also includes load resistors to allow calibration of very low current (energy star) measurements. In addition, the cal series can provide a +/- 3V reference for calibrating the NHR CAL series AC/DC power modules. An optional external resistor box can be used for power loading.

    Communications IP Address & Port Numbers The CAL Series uses TCP/IP (Ethernet) and requires a unique IP Address for each system. The IP address is set by using a browser to connect to the unit. IMPORTANT! The PC running the browser MUST be on the same IP subnet as the unit. For example, if the unit is at IP 19.168.0.2 then the PC must have an IP address that starts with 192.168.0 and the last...

    IMPORTANT! This calibrator requires use and calibration in a controlled environment. It is specified to be accurate at 23 deg C +/- 5 deg C. The Calibrator facilitates calibration of NHR Test Equipment. The Calibrator relies on an external traceable reference meter for ALL voltage measurements and for extreme low current (<= 1A) measurements.

    NHR 9500 Series Calibration Pre-Requisites 1. The NHR 9500 Calibration software. It is included in the 9500 Instrument Software Package (PN 1906687) and after installation, can be found as a shortcut in the Windows Start Menu: All Apps \ NH Research \ NHR 9400-9500 Utilities \ NHR 9500 Calibration.

    NHR 47XX Calibration Pre-Requisites 1. The NHR 47XX Calibration software called CalSCPI which is included in the (PN 1906713). After installation, it can be found as a shortcut in the Windows Start Menu: All Apps \ NH Research \ CalSCPI.

    Calibration Software If not already installed, install NHR CalSCPI software (NH PN 1906713). Launch “CalSCPI”. The shortcut is found at: Start Menu / All Apps / NHR Calibration. Figure 1 - CalSCPI Main Screen The application has a settings section on the top. Settings are displayed on two tabs. The Cal Setup tab is where the calibration UUT and calibration equipment is defined.

  • Page 47 Programmer’s Reference Manual NHR unit Series If you have problems connecting, the most likely issues are: • Wrong IP address • The PC running the CalSCPI software is on a different subnet than the UUT. For example, if the PC is at 192.168.100.220 it CANNOT talk to a device at 192.168.0.17. The first three groups MUST match.

This setup allows you to choose the type of meter for automated control, or you can use any suitable meter and enter the readings manually.
  • Page 49 If using a shunt or other current transducer, select “Use Generic Shunt” and enter the appropriate data. If using a Cal300, select “Use NHR Cal Series” and enter the IP address of the Cal300. Then press the “Connect” button. If all goes well, the button should turn green.
