Questions and answers
My Husky Smart Water Timer Model 867006-1004 is leaking from the bottom (from 2 small holes near the hose connections). Why is that and what should I do?
The Husky Smart Water Timer Model 867006-1004 may be leaking from the bottom near the hose connections due to several possible reasons:
1. Loose Connections – Ensure that the hose connections are securely tightened to prevent water from escaping.
2. Worn or Missing Washer – Check if the rubber washer inside the hose connection is in place and in good condition. A damaged or missing washer can cause leaks.
3. Cross-Threading – If the hose or timer is not properly threaded, it may not create a tight seal, leading to leaks.
4. Cracks or Damage – Inspect the timer and hose connections for any visible cracks or damage that might be allowing water to escape.
5. High Water Pressure – Excessive water pressure may cause leaks. Consider using a pressure regulator if necessary.
6. Using Both Outlets Simultaneously – The manual suggests using one port at a time for best performance. If both sides are used, water flow may be inconsistent, potentially leading to leaks.
To fix the issue, try tightening the connections, replacing the washer, ensuring proper threading, checking for damage, and regulating water pressure.
