2.5 Outside air intake

For this equipment combustion air can also be added from the outside. It makes
installation easier in houses with passive and low energy consumption if the
ventilation in the living quarters is controlled. Connection is possible through a
tube with a diameter of 100 mm. The combustion air supply pipe has to be
equipped with a stop-cock close to the stove. Of course, heating is also possible
with the air of the room – see: Item 2.2 (Germany).
The stoves use room air for combustion, and a sufficient supply of combustion
air is therefore essential. The air pressure in the room of installation must not be
negative. Please observe the relevant technical rules / regulations and any ad-
ditional information when operating your appliance in combination with air con-
ditioning systems (for ex. ventilation systems, exhauster hoods, pneumatic con-
veyor systems etc.).
