Analog-to-Digital Conversion(for VM-D965LA) —
This camcorder can receive video and audio recorded on analog video device; it then transfers the

Open the cover of DV jack.
^ Connect the camcorder to your VCR and the
device with a DV (i.LINK) terminal, using the
AV cable and i.LINK (DV) cable.
'I Hold down the small button of the
° CAM /OFF /VIDEO switch while you slide the
switch to VIDEO.
^ Specify "A.IN—► D.OUT ON" from the menu
screen (see p49).
C Start playback on the analog video device.
Start to capture video and audio into the device
with DV (i.LINK) terminal. See the instruction
manual provided with the device for details on
capturing operation.
Note: The analog signal input to the camcorder
will have some distortion: it wili not be normally
converted to a digital signal even if the displayed
picture on the TV screen is not noticeably distort¬
ed,
Note: Analog image will appear only in the
viewfinder: It will not appear on the LCD screen.
