HOW YOU KNOW THE
PRINTER IS WORKING
The
Printer
is
working
properly
if
the
following
things occur

The
ON
LINE
or
LOCAL
pushbutton
lights
when pressed.

ON

near
the
center
of
the control panel and
indicates th

column
where
the
next
character

be

keys

nd
have
the
typed characters

the

r.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR PRINTER IS NOT WORKING
If the Printer
is
not
working,
there
are
several
things
you can
do to restore normal
operat
ion.
I.
If no
control
panel
pushbuttons
will
light,
check
to
make sure the power
cord
is
plu~ged
in
and
that
the
Printer
cover
is
completely closed.
Check power plugs at
both
the
wall
and at
the Printer.
As a
last resort,
plug
in
another device to see
if it
will work
in
the
same
outlet.
If
another
device
works
in
the
same
outlet, call your Printer
repairman;
otherwise
get
power
restored -to the
outlet.

If the
LOCAL
pushbut
ton
will
light
bu
t
the
ON
LI
NE
pushbutton wi 11
not,
check the ALARM
pushbutton.
If
the
ALARM
pushbutton
is
lit, it prooably
means
the
plastic paper shield is
up
or
that
you
are out
of paper
.
This
problem
will
have
to
be
corrected
before
continuing.
