8.8 Replacing the dryer for H

To replace the dryer
Using a wrench, loosen the fitting at the top and bottom of the dryer.

Remove the retainer clip gasket and place in a safe location. The VCR metal-gasket face seal fitting is currently

used on low moisture systems only.
Remove the dryer.
3.
Secure the retainer clip gasket to the new dryer unit.
4.
Insert the new dryer into the analyzer.
5.
Connect the nuts at the top and bottom of the dryer to finger tight.

Using a wrench, tighten the nuts ⅛ turn from finger tight.

Heat trace sleeve bundle

The heat trace bundle sleeve, manufactured by others, is an option for the Endress+Hauser sample conditioning
system. Refer to the optional drawings for heat trace power in your as-built drawings.
8.9.1 Removing the heat trace bundle
To remove the heat trace (optional)
Turn off external power to the heat trace bundle.
1.
Disconnect the heat trace bundle wiring at the customer-provided junction box.
2.
Carefully remove the heat trace bundle from the SCS cabinet.
