@® TUNING MODE switch
Each time this switch is pressed, the AUTO and MANUAL
TUNING MODE indicators light alternately.
AUTO: AUTO TUNING mode.
MANUAL:
MANUAL TUNING mode.
Tuning direction indicator (UP)
Flashes during a upward search of the frequencies or
channels.
@® TUNING knob
AM and FM stations are selected by turning this knob. In
AUTO tuning mode, turn the knob slightly clockwise to
scan
the
higher frequencies.
Turn
the
knob
slightly
counterclockwise to scan the lower frequencies.
In MANUAL tuning mode, turn the knob while observing
the TUNING SIGNAL indicator.
Tuning direction indicator (DOWN)
Flashes during a downward search of the frequencies or
channels.

The reception mode set by the TUNING MODE switch is
indicates by the AUTO and MANUAL
lamps.
FM IF BAND indicator (IF BAND)
WIDE: Lights when the FM IF BAND knob is set to the
WIDE position.
NARROW:
Lights when the FM IF BAND knob is set to
the NARROW
position.
Note:
In AM mode, this indicator does not function.
TUNING SIGNAL indicators
As a station is being tuned in, a left or right indicator
lights in red, and the number of lighting points increases
as the signal strength increases. Then, when the correct
tuning is very near, the white points in the center start to
light and increase in number. The station is tuned most
precisely when the number of white points is at a max-
imum.
In detuning, the above steps will be reversed.
In AMreception, the center white indicator lights when a
Station is tuned in.

If the signal strength of the electric field is insufficient, the left
and right indicators will not light more than 4 LED points, or the
indication becomes asymmetrical.
Frequency display
This display shows the received
FM or AM frequency
digitally. In MANUAL TUNING mode, press the TUNING
key while observing this display.

Lights when an FM stereo broadcast is received.
RF selector switch indicators (RF SEL)
DIRECT: Lights when the RF selector DIRECT switch is
pressed.

In AM mode, this indicator does not function.
