Configuring the Terminal for
ANSI Operations
Before using the terminal in EMlOO, EM52 or EM220 Mode, you must make certain
configuration settings.
Make sure your terminal is in Remote Mode and that the datacornm is configured
correctly for your system.
Using the ANSI Configuration Menu
The ANSI Configuration Menu allows you to tailor the terminal for specific application
programs running on a standard DEC computer system.
To display the ANSI Configuration Menu:
• Ensure that the terminal is currently operating in EMlOO, EM52 or EM220 Mode
(check the status line). If the terminal is in HP Mode, change Modes by following the
procedures described in the previous section.

shown in Figure 5-2. Settings made in this menu apply to EMlOO. EM52 and EM220
Mode operations.
