    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors And Liftgate Lock The Doors And Liftgate Push and release the LOCK button on the RKE transmitter to lock all doors and liftgate. The turn signal lights will flash, and the horn will chirp to acknowledge the signal.
  • Page 11 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Emergency Key • Should the battery in the vehicle or the Key Fob transmitter go dead, there is an emergency key located in the Key Fob that can be used for locking and unlocking the doors. To remove the emergency key, slide the button at the top of the Key Fob sideways with your thumb and then pull the key out with your other hand.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D KEYLESS ENTER-N-GO — IF EQUIPPED The Keyless Enter-N-Go system is an enhancement to the vehicle’s Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) feature. This feature allows you to lock and unlock the vehicle's door(s) and liftgate without having to push the Key Fob LOCK or UNLOCK buttons, as well as starting and stopping the vehicle with the push of a button.

  • Page 21 G E T T I N G S T A R T E D • The ORC monitors the readiness of the electronic parts of the air bag system whenever the ignition switch is in the START or ON/RUN position. If the ignition switch is in the OFF position or in the ACC position, the air bag system is not on and the air bags will not inflate.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D CHILD RESTRAINTS Children 12 years or younger should ride properly buckled up in a rear seat, if available. According to crash statistics, children are safer when properly restrained in the rear seats rather than in the front. Every state in the United States and all Canadian provinces require that small children ride in proper restraint systems.

Center Seat LATCH If a child restraint installed in the center position blocks the seat belt webbing or buckle for the outboard position, do not use that outboard position.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D WARNING! • In a collision, an unrestrained child, even a tiny baby, can become a projectile inside the vehicle. The force required to hold even an infant on your lap could become so great that you could not hold the child, no matter how strong you are.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D POWER SEATS Some models may be equipped with eight-way power seats for the driver and front passenger. The power seat switches are located on the outboard side of the seat. The switches control the movement of the seat cushion and the seatback.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D Push the switch once to select HI-level heating. Push the switch a second time to select LO-level heating. Push the switch a third time to shut the heating elements OFF. NOTE: Once a heat setting is selected, heat will be felt within two to five minutes.

    G E T T I N G S T A R T E D TILT/TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMN This feature allows you to tilt the steering column upward or downward. It also allows you to lengthen or shorten the steering column. The tilt/telescoping lever is located below the steering wheel at the end of the steering column.

  • Page 39 O P E R A T I N G Y O U R V E H I C L E Rear Wiper And Washer Rotating the rotary ring to the first detent activates the rear intermittent wipers. To activate the washers, rotate the rotary ring fully forward and the washers will spray until the ring is released, and then resume the intermittent interval.

    O P E R A T I N G Y O U R V E H I C L E High/Low Beam Switch When the headlights are turned on, pushing the multifunction lever toward the instrument panel will switch from low beams to high beams. Pulling back to the neutral position returns the headlights to the low beam operation.
