Sound skip guard function (D.A.S.C.)

D.A.S.C. (Digital Anti Shock Circuit}
This unit incorporates the D.A.S.C. function to guard against sound skip. It prevents sound skip by
storing digital data corresponding to about 11 seconds of CD piayback in memory and playing the
sound while reading the data from the memory.

• In case of vibration above a certain degree, the memory data may be exha usted and the guard from sound
skip may become temporarily ineffective.
Switching D.A.S.C. ON/OFF
The use of the D.A.S.C. sound skip guard results in quick discharging of the batteries. When you
play the unit in a place not subject to vibration, it is recommended to switch the D.A.S.C. OFF to
prolong the battery life.
