The control panels can either be arranged at your work place in a compact manner or customized as desired. DAshboard Functional description Context window The contents displayed in the context window vary in real time depending on the selected main function or system component. When choosing the main functions system settings, diagnosis and help the selected submenu is displayed in the context window. When selecting the main function dashboard the status indicators of the functions of the connected system components are displayed in the context window.
Functional description DAshboard Main functions At the left side of the screen display the main functions dashboard, system settings, diagnosis and help are located. Dashboard The dashboard corresponds to the main inspection screen and serves to check the status indicators and monitor all functions of connected system components during inspection.
• The system may not be exposed to extreme ambient temperatures. Switching on the DCX5000 • Before switching on the DCX5000 desktop control unit, switch on the cable reel. • Press the ON/OFF button of the CCUI. You will hear a beep sound.

When shutting down the system with the emergency-off switch it is possible that unsaved data will be lost. By pressing the emergency-off switch only the power circuit of the CCUI is interrupted. The DCX5000 continues to be in operation. • Press the EMERGENCY-OFF switch.

When the safety function is active the crawler clutch is permanently engaged, even in case of a power failure of the entire system. Performing the inspection AntiRoll function Performing the inspection AntiRoll function ATTENTION! Risk of damaging the pipeline inspection system. All the automatic functions available for the system do not absolve the operator from his duty of care. Therefore any damages caused by negligence are the sole liability of the operator.
AntiRoll function Performing the inspection If the limit value for inclination is exceeded the pitch indicator LED on the dashboard turns red and the crawler will be automatically stopped. Should the crawler be stopped automatically, the crawler's position, alignment or direction in the pipe system must be checked and, by using the joystick, the crawler must be manually navigated out of the critical situation.
Performing the inspection AutoStop function AutoStop function When driving backwards from the inspection position the AutoStop function enables the crawler to automatically stop at a certain position e.g. before reaching the lowering position. This function supports the operator in retrieving the crawler. NOTE! The AutoStop function only works when the crawler is moved backwards in the cruise control mode.

When activating the AutoStop function a third meter counter (AutoStop meter counter) will be displayed on the dashboard; the current value of the total distance meter counter minus a standard offset of 20 m will be adopted. When driving backwards both, the AutoStop meter counter and the total distance meter counter are counting backwards.

Performing the inspection Light control Light control Light ring (RCX90) You have the opportunity to adjust the following settings: – High beam – Low beam – Auto light These functions are only available with the RCX90 camera head. With an active auto light function the camera head switches automatically between high and low beam when the camera head moves +/- 5 degrees (default value) upwards or downwards.

When turning the control wheels for the lights on the DCX5000 desctop control panel the currently active light can be adjusted (either high beam or low beam), if the auto light function is active. When the auto light function is inactive (manual mode) you cannot control the light with the light control wheel.
The SVC110 borehole camera can only be operated with the RAX500 cable reel. The DCX5000 desktop control unit gives you the possibility to operate the SVC110 borehole camera. • For changing to vertical mode, position the switch at the front side of the RAX500 cable reel to vertical operation mode.
Operating the system with the RX140SAT crawler The crawler is controlled with the right joystick of the DCX5000 control panel. The insertion unit of the crawler or the SAT camera are controlled with the left joystick of the DCX5000 control panel. CAUTION! Risk of damaging the crawler and the insertion unit.
Operation of the satellite system RX140SAT Controlling the SAT camera • Press to activate the functions and operation of the SAT camera If this function is active (black symbol on green background), the insertion unit is active. If this function is not active (white symbol on grey background), the SAT camera is active NOTE! With this button you can toggle the function of the left joystick between the control of the SAT camera and the insertion unit.
RX140SAT Operation of the satellite system Using the SAT cruise control NOTE! It is always required to rst activate the SAT cruise control. Then the feed direction can be determined by turning the joystick! After setting the desired feed speed the operator may release the joystick. The SAT cruise control can be activated in thecrawler menu With the SAT cruise control a constant feed speed for extending and retracting the SAT camera cable can be set.

Operation of the satellite system RAXSAT300 Anti-slip control function and display (Feeder unit of the RX140SATII) NOTE! The anti-slip control for the feeder unit is only available if a meter counter wheel is installed on the feeder unit. The anti-slip control constantly measures the difference between the meter counter of the feeder unit and the SAT cable reel and is displayed in a color graded bar on the status monitor (from green to orange to red).

Disabling of the DCX5000 operating functions After activating the remote control the operating functions of the DCX5000 desktop control unit are switched off and simultaneously the following message is displayed on the monitor: This dialog will be displayed on the touch-screen monitor until the system will be controlled through the control panel, again.
It is possible to rewind the cable reels via the remote control even though no SAT crawler is connected. NOTE! Connect the cable reel while rebooting the DCX5000. Should you try to connect the reel at a different point of time, it will not work.
