    Congratulations on your new AKASO Brave 7 Action Camera! You must be excited to use your Brave 7, however, please spend time reading this manual before using it. You need to get to know all its features now so as to get the most out of it.

    Micro SD Card Use To capture videos and photos, you need a memory card(sold separately). Please use brand name memory cards that meet these requirements: 1. U3 2. Capacity up to 512GB (FAT32) Warm Tip: 1. Please format the memory card in this camera before using it to ensure compatibility.

    IPX8 Waterproof The Brave 7 action camera is designed to be IPX8 waterproof without an external case. So you can submerge it up to 8 meters or 26 feet deep. Nevertheless, it is crucial to take necessary precautions to prevent any leakage. Before immersing your Brave 7 action camera in water, ensure that all the protective covers are firmly closed.

    Overheated Camera The Brave 7 action camera is designed to detect overheating conditions and will shut down when needed. A red icon stating "Temperature too high! The camera will automatically shut down" will appear on the touchscreen if your camera becomes too hot and needs to cool down.

    4.3 Take the camera frame from the packing box To do this, first unscrew the screw rod in a counterclockwise direction using either your hand or the provided spanner. Once unscrewed, carefully remove the screw rod from its position and take out the camera frame from the packaging box. Next, peel off the silicon gel attached to the camera frame.

    (1) Video ( Default mode) In this mode, when you press the Shutter button, the camera will record normal video at the set resolution and frame. ① After selecting “Video”, the camera will enter Video mode. Video Take Photo Video ②...

    (2) Timelapse Video Timelapse Video captures a sequence of video frames at the set interval to condense long events into shorter videos. For instance, a 20-minute video recorded at the 2-second interval will be saved as a 20-second fast-motion video, while a 10-second interval results in a 4-second fast-motion video.

    (3) HyperLapse Video In HyperLapse Video mode, the camera can capture steady and smooth fast-motion videos that appear to be moving faster than real-time, making it an ideal for use it in fast-moving scenes. For instance, a 20-minute video recorded at the 2X shutter speed will be saved as a 3-minute fast-motion video.

    (4) Slow Motion Video In Slow Motion Video mode, the camera will record videos at the set resolution and slow motion speed. However, the video footage will be saved at a playback speed of 30 frames per second (fps). As a result, when the video is played back, it will appear to be in slow motion, creating a visually captivating effect.

    (1) Resolution The camera is capable of capturing up to 4K30FPS high-resolution videos, with higher resolution offering greater clarity and detail due to the increased number of pixels. However, higher resolution video also results in larger file sizes. ① To configure the resolution settings, first make sure the camera is in Video mode.

    (2) Timelapse Interval In Timelapse mode, the camera will save a scene at the set interval and automatically turn these scenes into a video. For instance, when the timelapse interval is set to “5s”, the camera will save a scene every 5 seconds, then turn a long video into a short one.

    Image Stabilization is available in Video mode only. (6) Metering This option allows you to the meter mode for different scenes. There are 5 metering modes of the Brave 7 action camera. CAM (Central Average Metering ): In this mode, the camera primarily focuses on the center of the screen while also taking into account the surrounding elements.
  • Page 44 AFM (AI Facial Metering): In this mode, the camera can recognize and optimize the exposure settings of the camera based on the detected facial features in the scene. It’s ideal for use in taking selfie. To configure the Metering settings, tap on the "Metering" option to access its settings screen.

    (14) Driving Mode In this mode, the camera will automatically record video and save video files every 3 minutes by default. Additionally, when the camera powers off, videos will be saved automatically to prevent any loss of footage. The camera also records loop videos in this mode, meaning that when the Micro SD is full, old files will be automatically overwritten by new ones to ensure continuous recording.

    Auto (2) Metering This option allows you to the meter mode for different scenes. There are 5 meter- ing modes of the Brave 7 action camera. CAM (Central Average Metering ): In this mode, the camera primarily focuses on the center of the screen while also taking into account the surrounding elements.
