Troubleshooting

WARNING! Most accidents involving
!
machines occur during trouble shooting,
service and maintenance as staff have to
locate themselves within the machine's risk
area. Prevent accidents by being alert and
by planning and preparing the work.
The engine should be switched off during
operations described in this chapter unless
otherwise stated.
All checks involving electric components
should only be performed by a licensed
electrician.
WARNING! A respirator or respirator dust
!
protection should be worn at all times when
performing filter cleaning activities.
Problem
The machine will not run
Machine makes a buzzing sound
when switched to ON.
The machine does not have much
suction
Machine is blowing dust out of the
vacuum motor and secondary filter
housing.
*If large ammounts of dust is present in the secondary filter housing this indicates a problem with the primary filters.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Possible Cause
The machine has no incomming or
outgoing power.
Damaged cables.
This often indicates a problem with
one of the three vacuum motors.
Primary filters are blocked.
Secondary filter is blocked.
One or more vacuum motors is not
working.
Flap on collection cone is not
closing properly.
Secondary filters not properly
installed.
Secondary filters need replacing.
Possible action
Check that the power cable is connected and the
machine turned on.
If machine still will not run, remove cover from
control box and test for presence of power supply
at stop/run switch.
Have a licensed electrician check the presence
of power at the top of the left side contactor. If no
power at the contactors, test for presence of
power at the power source.
Contact a licensed electrician.
One or more motors may need replacing.
Press VIBRATE button for 5 seconds to make
sure filter socks are clean.
If large amounts of dust is collecting in secondary
filter it is most likely primary filters need
replacing.
Remove the vacuum motor housing to inspect if
motors are turning when switched on. If not
contact local service agent.
Remove obstruction between flap and collection
cone.
Ensure the filters are fitted correctly.
Replace filters.*
