The Silhouette CURIO 2 electrostatic mat may not hold a charge or grip properly due to the following reasons:
1. Material Curling: If the material (like paper) is curled due to humidity, it may not adhere well to the mat. Flat material is required for proper grip.
2. Debris in Channels: If the channels on either side of the mat have debris, it can affect performance. These should be kept completely clean.
3. Charge Not Applied or Released: If the electrostatic charge is not properly activated or has been released, the mat will not grip. Ensure the charge is turned on and working.
4. Material Type: Some materials may not respond well to the electrostatic grip, especially if not flat or if the surface is not suitable.
5. Mat Condition: If the protective mat has been damaged or is not in good condition, it may reduce effectiveness.
Ensuring flat material, clean channels, and proper charge application helps the mat grip correctly.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the CURIO 2 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
My Elastic mat does not hold a charge, doesn’t grip anything. Taken it in and out, but it’s just unresponsive. Any help please.
