2. If pump (A) clogs, unplug the pump from the
power supply and remove snap-on strainer (C).
3. Turn pump (A) upside down and inspect probes for
debris. Clean if needed.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Pump won't start or
run.
Pump shuts off
repeatedly.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Blown fuse or circuit breaker.
Low line voltage.
Defective motor.
Water level is too low.
GFCI needs to be reset.
Overload protector is shutting pump down due to:
Low line voltage.
Impeller is clogged.
Too much back pressure in the
discharge hose.
Pump runs too long with no load.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Reset the circuit breaker or replace
fuse with a fuse of the proper size.
Call power company.
Replace pump.
Allow the water level to rise to 2 in. or
more.
Press reset button on GFCI outlet.
Call power company.
Unplug pump and clean out impeller.
Check for kinks in hose, reduce hose
length, or increase hose diameter.
Check to be sure discharge is not
blocked.
