Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker All components are dishwasher safe. We recommend washing all components with soap and warm water before initial use and after every use.

Tea Infuser
To remove tea leaves from the infuser, turn upside down and tap under running water. For deep cleaning, soak in a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, then clean with soap and water.

O-Rings
Check that the o-ring seal is properly placed on the lid and between handle assembly and body to prevent leakage.

Tip
Used tea leaves may be disposed in garden soil, as they make great plant fertilizer!

Align arrows on lid handle with spout to pour.

HOT BREW + FLASH CHILL METHOD

  1. Add 8 tea bags, 1 large pitcher bag or 8 tsp of loose leaf tea into tea infuser with extender attached.

  2. Twist infuser into Iced Tea Maker lid.
  1. Boil 1 quart of water, let cool for recommended time then fill Iced Tea Maker half way.

  2. Lower tea infuser into water and brew for recommended time.*
  3. Remove infuser and detach from lid. Stir in sweetener if desired.
  1. Top off Iced Tea Maker with ice and seal lid airtight.
  2. Shake for 30 seconds to flash chill, locking in flavors and nutrients. Serve over ice and enjoy.

COLD BREW METHOD

  1. Add 8 tea bags, 1 large pitcher bag or 8 tsp of loose leaf tea into tea infuser with extender attached.

  2. Twist infuser into Iced Tea Maker lid.
  1. Fill Iced Tea Maker to top with cold filtered water.

  2. Lower tea infuser into water, seal lid airtight and brew in refrigerator 6 - 12 hours.**
  1. Remove infuser and detach from lid. Stir in sweetener if desired. Serve over ice and enjoy.
