1. SAFETY
1.1
GENERAL SAFETY
Carefully read these operating and safety instructions before using the boot tool. Keep them for future reference.
This tool should only be used by properly trained operators.
Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and ensure there is adequate lighting.
Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
Remove ill fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings, and other loose jewellery, and contain and/ or tie back long hair.
Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.
Keep the boot tool away from fire, heat and chemicals.
DO NOT use the boot tool for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
DO NOT operate the boot tool when you are tired, under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
WARNING! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this equipment.
1.3
MECHANICAL SAFETY
Maintain the boot tool in good condition (use an authorised service agent).
If the tool falls or is knocked, stop operation and check for any damage.
DO NOT operate the boot tool if any parts are damaged as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.
1.4
OPERATIONAL SAFETY
Working with the boot tool requires protective equipment including safety shoes, work gloves and safety goggles. DO NOT bring the
tool close to the face while operating.
When operating the boot tool, to open a CV rubber boot, turn the tool away from your face and body.
2. INTRODUCTION
Enables installation of CVJ boot in situ without splitting the drive train. Slim design ideal for fitting CVJ boots where access is limited.
Suitable for use with all Sealey CVJ stretch boots. Length 442mm. Maximum CVJ diameter Ø122mm. Use in conjunction with
Sealey VS705.

4. OPERATION
WARNING! The boot tool is designed for the installation of a flexible Sealey universal rubber CV boots only and should be used with no
other products and for no other purpose.
4.1.
Use cleaner to clean out the C.V joint.
4.2.
Fill with grease.
4.3.
Put universal rubber boot on the Sealey VS701 see fig.1 and spray rubber protection
fluid on it.
4.4.
Spray rubber protection fluid on Sealey VS705 (not supplied) in order to make Sealey VS705
surface smooth (fig.2)
4.5.
Use the Sealey VS701 to put boot to the bottom of Sealey VS705 slowly (fig.3).Press C.V boot
over C.V joint (fig.4).
4.6.
Once it has been pushed into place the VS705 can be removed easily (fig.5).
4.7.
Remove the Sealey VS701 (fig.6).
4.8.
Fix boot into a suitable location and secure with steel clips to secure the boot, in some cases you may have to trim the boot to fit.
