Savoury batter for nut waffles/patterned waffles
Ingredients:
200 g flour
125 g margarine
1 egg
¼ tsp baking powder
1 pinch sugar
1 pinch of salt
1) Whisk the margarine, the sugar, the egg and the salt.
2) Mix the flour and baking powder together and add this.
3) Whisk everything at maximum speed with a hand blender.
NOTE
Savoury patterned waffles can be filled with a wide variety of different
ingredients:
such as cream cheese, herb quark, aioli, tzatziki, melted Gouda cheese, etc.
Basic doughnut batter
Ingredients:
260 g flour
130 g sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
150 ml milk
100 ml cream
3 eggs
3 tbsp. maize germ oil
1 sachet of baking powder
1) Mix the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, milk, cream, eggs, oil and baking powder
into a smooth batter.
NOTE
You can also cover the doughnuts with chocolate glaze or icing, or sprinkle
sugar powder on them.
