Freezing and storing food
Cool pack
The cool pack prevents the temperature
in the freezer rising too quickly in the
event of a power cut. This can help pro-
long the storage life.
Place the cool pack in the top freezer
drawer.
The cool pack will be at its most effect-
ive after it has been in the freezer for
approx. 24 hours.
– In the event of a power cut
Place the frozen cool pack directly on
top of the frozen food in the front of
the top drawer.
Tip: When placing fresh food in the
freezer, use the cool pack to separate
the fresh food from the food which is
already frozen so that the frozen food
does not begin to thaw.
Tip: The cool pack can also be used in
a cool bag to keep food or drinks cool
for a short period of time.

Removing freezer drawers on tele-
scopic runners
Some of the freezer drawers are on tele-
scopic runners and can be removed for
filling, emptying or cleaning purposes:
You can also expand the space avail-
able in the freezer. If you wish to freeze
large items such as a turkey or game,
the glass cold plates between the draw-
ers can be removed.
Pull the drawers out as far as they will
go.
Holding the sides of the drawer at the
back, lift it up and then forwards and
out.
Push the runners back in again to
avoid damaging them.
Be careful not to wash out the spe-
cial lubricant in the telescopic run-
ners during cleaning.
Wipe the telescopic runners with a
damp cloth to clean them.
To replace the drawer, push the run-
ners back in completely and then
place the drawer on them.
