If the Start pad on the Defy DMO390 microwave is not working, try the following steps:

1. Check Child Lock: If the child lock is enabled, the buttons will not function. Disable it by pressing and holding the CANCEL pad for 3 seconds until a beep sounds and the lock indicator turns off.

2. Ensure Proper Power Supply: Confirm that the microwave is plugged into a working outlet with the correct voltage (230V~50Hz).

3. Inspect for Physical Damage: Check if the control panel or buttons are visibly damaged or misaligned.

4. Reset the Microwave: Unplug the microwave for a few minutes, then plug it back in and try again.

5. Verify Other Buttons: Check if other buttons are working. If multiple buttons are unresponsive, the control panel or circuit board may be faulty.

If the issue persists, contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for further assistance. Do not attempt internal repairs yourself.

The start button on the Defy DMO390 may not be working due to one of the following reasons:

1. The power cord may not be properly plugged in. Unplug and plug it back in after 10 seconds.
2. A fuse may be blown or the circuit breaker may have tripped. This requires repair by a professional.
3. There may be an issue with the power outlet. Test it with another device.

If these do not resolve the issue, service may be needed.
