    ENGLISH SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Read the following precautions carefully before using this thermometer ATTENTION • Take care of the temperature probe lens, which is fragile. • No service /maintenance while the equipment is in use. • Dispose used batteries with care. To protect the environment, you are recommended to send the used batteries to a designated collection point.
  • Page 5 ENGLISH • Do not use the thermometer under an ambient temperature higher than 40°C (104°F) or lower than 10°C (50°F), which is beyond the operating temperature range of the thermometer. • Risk of pollution! The user is recommended to send the overdue thermometer to local garbage disposal site or send it back to us.

  • Page 8 ENGLISH IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please note that the temperature of the human body varies throughout the day. It can also be influenced by numerous external factors: age, sex, type and thickness of skin. The temperature should be taken in a neutral environment. The person must not have been undertaken vigorous physical activity prior to taking his/ her temperature and the room temperature must be moderate.

    ENGLISH BEFORE USE INITIATING BATTERIES When using the thermometer for the first time, slide open the battery cover move the battery’s insulating plastic away. SOUND CONTROL To mute: Turn on the thermometer and immediately press and hold 3 seconds on the sound button .
  • Page 10 ENGLISH DIFFERENT MEASURING METHODS MEASURING EAR TEMPERATURE Take the probe cover off from the thermometer before measuring the ear temperature. Press the Power button to turn on the thermometer. It should already be set on ear mode and the ear symbol should appear on the screen.

    ENGLISH NOTE: (1) After each measurement, clean the probe with a soft cloth, and put the thermometer in a dry and well-ventilated place. If the person has a fever, clean probe to disinfect the probe. Follow disinfecting instructions in this manual. Be careful to not rub the sensor. (2) Make sure that the ear canal is clean and dry before starting a measurement.

    ENGLISH Set the device on Object mode by clicking on the Mode button The house icon will appear on the screen. Point the thermometer probe to the center of the object, about 1 to 3 cm (0.4 to 1.2 in) away from the object surface. Press and release the Measure button .

    ENGLISH Recommended cleaning product: • Medical cleaners • Mild soap DISINFECTING YOUR THERMOMETER Wet a clean soft cloth with a small quantity of disinfectant. Wipe the thermometer and quickly dry it. Disinfect the thermometer body and the area around the temperature probe with a cloth slightly moistened with 75% medicinal alcohol.

    FRANÇAIS INFORMATIONS IMPORTANTES La température du corps humain varie au cours de la journée. Elle peut également être influencée par de nombreux facteurs externes : l’âge, le sexe, le type et l’épaisseur de la peau. La température doit être prise dans un environnement neutre.
