    This manual is intended for users of the Trust 300 POWERC@M. Basic knowledge of computers is necessary to be able to install this product. Please consult one of the Trust Customer Care Centers if you have any problems. The last page of this instruction manual, as well as the back of the printed, quick installation manual, contains more information about these Customer Care Centers.

    General information Carefully read the following instructions before use. The Trust 300 PowerC@m does not require any special maintenance. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the camera. Do not use aggressive substances, such as petrol or white spirit, to clean the device. These may harm the material.

    Note: The camera will make a noise when the battery voltage becomes too low. 3. Close the battery flap again by gently pushing it and sliding it to the left. 4. The Trust 300 POWERC@M is now ready for use.

    5. Using the camera Setting the resolution The Trust 300 PowerC@m can take photographs in two different resolutions, i.e. VGA (640 x 480, approx. 55 photographs) and CIF (320 x 240, approx. 190 photographs). The camera’s default setting is the VGA (640 x 480) resolution, which can be used to take approximately 55 photographs.

    Note: The video function only works in the low (CIF) resolution. The Trust 300 PowerC@m can be used to take a number of photographs, one after another, using the CONTINUOUS mode. 1. Turn the camera on by pressing the ON/OFF button (7). A beep will be heard when the camera is turned 2.

    Restart the computer. Trust Software Installer 1. Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The Trust Software Installer will start automatically. If the installation program does not start automatically, start 'Setup.exe' on the CD-ROM. Figure 4 will appear. The Trust Software Installer will appear in Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Start the Trust Software Installer again (see figure 4) so that you can install the other software. See chapter 7 for instructions on how to install the other software.

Click on ‘Standard’. The selected photograph will now be visible in the row of ‘Sample Photos’ (see figure 16).

    This function only works if the recording has been made in a hardware resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA). Video Impression 1.6 Video Impression 1.6 can be used to make video recordings with your TRUST 300 POWERC@M. Note: This function only works if the camera has been connected to your PC using the USB cable provided with the camera.
