In the customer display it shows the department number. I would like to program this machine so it displays the plu number and/or plu name
To program the Royal 583cx to display the PLU number and/or PLU name instead of the department number, use the following steps:
1. Use the Alpha Keyboard to enter alphanumeric descriptions for PLUs. Only capital letters are on the Alpha Keyboard, but lowercase letters can also be used.
2. To enter letters:
- Press the Department key for letters in the white area.
- Press the Dept Shift key, then the Department key for letters in the green area.
3. Enter the desired PLU description using the department keys.
4. These PLU descriptions will appear on the receipt and display instead of the department number.
This allows the PLU name or identifier to appear when a PLU is used.
