REMOTE SENSOR INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery door.
  2. Select the desired channel.
  3. Insert 2xAAA batteries according to the polarity into the battery compartment.
  4. Close the battery door.

NOTE
After every channel change, RESET the sensor is needed.

START USING THE DEVICE

  1. Open the battery door.
  2. Plug the adaptor into the DC jack and place 3xAA batteries according to the polarity into the battery compartment.
  3. Close the battery door.

NOTE
Place both projection clock and sensor away from metal objects and electrical appliances to minimize the interference. Position the remote sensor and the projection clock within the effective transmission range of 30 meters.

RADIO CONTROLLED CLOCK

The time and date are automatically synchronized with the time signal transmitted from Germany (DCF77), UK (MSF) or USA (WWVB). The clock will start receiving the time signal in 5 minutes after RESET or each time batteries are replaced. The signal strength indicator " " begins flashing.
After receiving the signal, the signal strength is indicated by 4 types.

NOTE
The availability of the radio-controlled clock function varies in different version of the projection clock, and the signal reception varies on different geographic area.

The time is automatically synchronized with the signal at 2am, 8am, 2pm and 8pm every day.
Avoid placing the clock on or next to a metal plate.

MANUAL TIME SETTING

If the clock is out of the reach of the radio controlled clock signal, the time can be set manually. As soon as the radio-controlled clock signal can be received again, the clock will be automatically synchronized with the received time signal.

  1. Press and hold "TIME" key for 2 seconds to enter clock setting mode.
  2. Press "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust the value.
  3. Press "TIME" key to confirm each setting.
    The setting sequence is YEAR > MONTH > DATE > HOUR > MINUTE > SECOND > WEEKDAY LANGUAGE.

NOTE
IN US (WWVB) version, the time zone can be adjusted before setting the YEAR value. The selectable time zones are Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern.

ALARM SETTING

  1. In time mode, press "TIME" key to toggle to alarm 1 mode or alarm 2 modes.
  2. In Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 mode, press and hold "ALARM" key for 2 seconds to enter alarm setting mode.
  3. Press "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust hour / minute value, then press "ALARM" to confirm.
  4. In time mode, press "ALARM" key to enable or disable alarm 1 and alarm 2. When enabled, the icon " " or " " will be displayed.
  5. In alarm 1 or alarm 2 mode, press "ALARM" key to turn on / off the alarm and pre-alarm function for that specific alarm. When pre-alarm function is enabled, a " " icon is displayed.

NOTE
Pre-alarm function triggers the alarm 30 minutes before the user defined alarm time when the ° ° outdoor temperature is below -3 C (26 F).

  1. When alarm sounds, press "SNOOZE" key to enter SNOOZE mode with the bell icon flashing, the alarm will stop and then sound again after 5 minutes. Snooze function can be repeated by each time "SNOOZE" key is pressed when alarm sounds, until the "ALARM" key is pressed.

NOTE
If no key is pressed during the alarm sounds (duration of 2 minutes), the alarm will be turned off automatically.

TEMPERATURE READING

  1. Change the temperature unit into "°C" or "°F" by pressing the °C / °F key.
  2. Press "MAX / MIN" key to check maximum and minimum temperature record.
  3. Press and hold "MAX / MIN" key for 3 seconds to reset the temperature record.
  4. In time mode, press "UP" key to toggle remote sensor channel. Press and hold "UP" key for 2 seconds to enable auto-toggle of the displayed channels.

5 different types of weather forecast for the coming 24 hours can be displayed.

USING THE PROJECTOR

  1. Press "SNOOZE / LIGHT" key to turn ON the projection and display backlight for 5 seconds. Press "REVERSE" key to invert the projected image.
  2. If using DC power, the projection will be always ON.
  3. Adjust the "FOCUS" knob to get a clear projection image.

NIGHT LIGHT FUNCTION

  1. Slide "NIGHT LIGHT" switch to ON.
  2. The display backlight will be turned ON continuously at a very dim level automatically when dark environment is detected. It is for convenient viewing to the display in dark environment without any key operations.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

  1. When the display becomes dim, the batteries for the clock are needed to be replaced.
  2. When the " " appears, replace the batteries inside the remote sensor.

PRECAUTIONS

This product is engineered to give you years of satisfactory service if you handle it carefully.
Here are a few precautions:

  • Do not cover the ventilation holes. Make sure items that are nearby such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc cannot accidentally cover the ventilation holes.
  • Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity, which may result in malfunction, shorter electronic life span, damaged battery and distorted parts.
  • Placement of this product on wood surfaces with certain types of finishes, such as clear varnish, may result in damage to the finish. Consult the furniture manufacturer's care instructions for direction as to the types of objects that may safely be placed on the wood surface. Oregon Scientific shall not be responsible for any damage to wood surfaces from contact with this product.
  • Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.
  • Do not tamper with the unit's internal components. Doing so will invalidate the warranty on the unit and may cause unnecessary damage. The unit contains no user-serviceable parts.
  • Only use fresh batteries as specific in the user's instructions. Do not mix new and old batteries.
  • Due to printing limitations, the displays shown in this manual may differ from the actual display.
  • The contents of this manual may not be reproduced without the permission of the manufacturer.
  • Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.
