• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  
  This product is not a children's toy! Keep the product away from children. Children are not able to appreciate the dangers associated with electrical products.

• Do not use the product if you notice any signs of damage.
• Check the batteries regularly for signs of expiry.
• The LEDs have a long life. The LEDs are firmly installed in the product and cannot be replaced.
• Never expose the product to high temperatures or moisture, as otherwise the product may be damaged.
• Ensure that the product is not subjected to a mechanical load!
• Please contact a qualified electrician in the case of damage, repairs or other problems with the product.
• Do not mix old batteries with new ones for using.
• The illuminants are not replaceable.
• If the illuminants fail at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced.

Safety instructions for batteries /rechargeable batteries

• 
  DANGER TO LIFE!
  Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
• 
  DANGER OF EXPLOSION!
  Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batteries and / or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
• Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
• Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries

• Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
• If batteries / rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!
• 
  WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!
  Leaked or damaged batteries / rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
• In the event of a leakage of batteries / rechargea- ble batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
• Only use the same type of batteries / rechargea- ble batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries / rechargeable batteries.
• Remove the batteries / rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.

Risk of damage of the product

• Only use the specified type of battery / recharge- able battery!
• Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries accord- ing to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product.
• Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
• Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.

Before use

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.

Bringing into use

• Remove the battery compartment cover from the battery compartment .
  
• Insert the (new) batteries into the battery compartment .
  Note: Make sure you fit the batteries the right way round (polarity). The correct polarity is shown inside the battery compartment.
• Place the battery compartment cover back on the battery compartment .
  

Attaching the product

• Pull off the protective film from the self-adhesive pad of the mounting plate .
  
• Attach the product in the desired location.
  Note: The substrate should be dry, smooth and free of dust and grease.
• After prolonged use of the adhesive pad, sticky residues may remain on the surface when removed; use an adhesive remover, if necessary.
  Test a small area prior to cleaning the affected area. Follow the instructions of the manufacturer.

Switching On / Off

• Press ON/OFF button at the middle of the product to switch it on or off.
  

Cleaning and care

• Under no circumstances should you use aggressive detergents or abrasives in order to avoid damaging the material.

• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean and take care of the product.
• Do not clean the product with water or other liquids.
