Thank you for choosing the flashlight from Mactronic. Similarly to other high quality devices, proper operation and maintenance will ensure high durability and reliability of the product. Please read the following instruction and save it for future reference as it contains essential information on safe operation and use.
Using the flashlight against its intended purpose is not recommended. The anufacturer voids the warranty if the flashlight is used gainst its intended purpose. Make sure only original spare parts designed for Mactronic® series flashlights are used. Using spare parts made by other manufacturers may affect the product's quality and parameters. Pursuant to EU Directive WEEE it is forbidden to place the used batteries in household waste bins - the batteries must be placed in special containers.
The flashlight has 4 operating modes: 40%, 10%, 100% and a stroboscope. Press the button in the flashlight's handle to activate it. The flashlight will be activated in the 40% mode. Press it again to switch to the 10% mode. To select the 100% mode keep the button depressed; release it to deactivate this mode. The flashlight will then revert to the last used mode. Quickly double press and release the button to activate the stroboscope mode. Additionally, the flashlight features a safety hammer in the back, for breaking glass or car windows. The safety hammer's working surface is covered with a silicone hood which has to be be removed to use the hammer. This feature allows the flashlight and the hammer to be used safely and conveniently.
The flashlight must be charged for 4-6 hrs before the first use.
The DURA LIGHT 2.3 flashlight should be fully charged before the first use. Several charging and recharging cycles may be needed for the battery pack to achieve full capacity.
Charging the flashlight with the USB charger:
Twist the head anticlockwise and remove it from the flashlight's housing. Plug in the USB charger into a 230 V AC wall socket. Carefully connect the USB cable to the charger's socket. There is a socket for connecting a Micro USB cable in the flashlight's handle. Connect the plug of the Micro USB cable into the flashlight's socket. The activation of LEDs in the chamber with sockets, located in the handle, means that the charging process had begun. There are 4 LEDs in the chamber which indicate the level of charging of the battery, with 1 LED activated means an extremely discharged battery and 4 LEDs activated mean a charged battery (over 3/4 of capacity). When the battery is being charged, a flashing LED indicates its charging level (from 1 to 4 LEDs). To check the charging level connect the active charger to the Micro USB socket and unplug it after a short while. The number of active LEDs (1-4) now indicates the level of charging of the battery. The LEDs will go off after around 15 seconds.
Unless authorized by Mactronic in writing, any modifications and user attempts at home repairs will automatically void the warranty.
*Mactronic® WARRANTY
Mactronic covers the products with a 2-year warranty for any manufactured defects in material and/or workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal use, rust, unauthorized modifications, improper storage, damage from falls, improper handling, corrosion from leaking batteries and use of the flashlight contrary to its intended purpose.
