Notes on replacing the air filter unit
Turn off the power before you replace the air filter unit.
z
When attaching the air filter unit, make sure that the projector is stable, and work in an
z
environment that is safe, even in the event of the air filter unit dropping.
Do not operate the projector with the filter removed. Dust may accumulate on the optical
z
elements degrading picture quality.
Do not put anything into the air ports. Doing so may result in malfunction of the projector.
z
The air filter unit to be replaced should be an unused product.

Replacing the air filter unit

Filter prevents dust from accumulating on the optical elements inside the projector. Should the
filter become clogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fans' effectiveness and may result in
internal heat buildup and adversely affect the life of the projector. If a "Filter warning" icon appears
on the screen, replace the air filter unit immediately.
Replacement of the air filter unit

1) Open the lamp cover.
First, turn off the projector and unplug
z
the AC power cord from the AC outlet.
Then, clean up the dust on the projector
and around the air vents. At last, loosen
the lamp cover fixing screw and open the
lamp cover.
2) Remove the air filter unit.
Lift the air filter unit out of the projector.
z
3) Insert a new air filter unit.
Insert a new air filter unit back into the
z
position.
4) Close the lamp cover.
Close the lamp cover and secure the
z
lamp cover fixing screw.
Resetting the Filter Counter

Be sure to reset the Filter counter after replacing the air filter unit.
