  • Page 5 These assembly and operating instructions apply to the Explosion Barrier Valves VENTEX-ESI-E, -D or –C Type 6 with nominal size DN100-500 mm, without auxiliary energy – refer to nameplate. Included in these instructions is a drawing of the VENTEX valve. The position numbers on the drawing match the numbers in brackets in the instructions.
  • Page 6 The valve is designed for use in pipes in which there is only a minimum dust content in the air. However, experience has shown that under certain conditions dust in the air carried can be tolerated. In any case, before any such installation is carried out, the written consent of the manufacturing company must be obtained.

The counter flange and pipe on the explosion side must be designed for a minimum overpressure of 9 bar. 5.
