INTRODUCTION

AGE: FROM 0 MONTHS


Read these instructions carefully and keep for future reference. This toy requires 3 x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, not supplied with the product.


For your child's safety:

  • Plastic bags and other components which are not part of the toy (e.g. ties, fasteners, etc..) must be removed before use and kept out of the reach of children. Choking hazard.
  • Check the toy regularly for signs of wear and damage and to ensure that it is assembled correctly. If any part of the product is damaged, do not use and keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use this toy in any way not illustrated in the manual.
  • Use this toy under adult supervision only.
  • This product must only be assembled by an adult.
  • The toy is designed to send the child to the sleep. Remove the toy from the cot when your child is sleeping.
  • Never leave the toy in your child's cot.

ON/OFF

To turn on the product undo the velcro on the bottom of the toy and remove the electronic module, unhooking it from the tab (A,fig.1). Move the switch (B, fig.2) from 0 to I and an automatic music and light cycle of about 30 minutes will come on, accompanying your child in the delicate transition from wakefulness to sleep. Replace the electronic module inserting the tabs in the specific slots (fig.3) and checking that the volume and recording buttons are also in their respective positions (fig.4).

The product has three activation buttons:

  • The button under the big star (A, fig.5) allows you to select the tunes. Press it to change and listen to the 7 tunes.
  • The little star with the +/- symbol is the volume control (B, fig.5): the toy comes on automatically at the lowest volume; press the button each time to increase the volume from low to medium, to high, to mute (lights only).
  • The round button with the heart symbol (C, fig.5) activates the recording function: hold down for around two seconds until you hear a "beep" and then, keeping the button held down, record your voice, lullaby or nursery rhyme. When recording, talk as closely as possible to the speaker (D, fig. 5) at a high volume. Release the button when you have finished recording. Two "beeps" will notify you when the recording time has elapsed, a maximum of around 1 minute. To listen to the recording, press the record button once. To record a new message press the button again and repeat the procedure.
  • To activate the toy when it is in stand-by press the button under the big star (A, fig.5)
  • The reproduction of the tunes and lighting effects with the automatic changes of colour lasts about 30 minutes, after which time the product go into stand-by mode. Leaving the product in stand-by mode enables it come back on again in order to reassure your child if the sound sensor detects crying. In this case, if a recording was made the toy will activate this first and then the pre-recorded tunes. If no recording has been made only the pre-recorded tunes will be played
  • To turn the product off completely, open the velcro on the bottom of the toy and move the switch to 0 (B, fig.2).

REMOVING AND INSERTING NON RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

  • Batteries must only be replaced by an adult;
  • To replace the batteries: Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw of the battery compartment, remove the empty batteries and insert the new batteries with the correct polarity (as indicated on the product). Replace the cover and tighten the screw.
  • Always keep batteries and tools out of the reach of children;
  • Always remove flat batteries from the product to avoid any possible liquid leaks that may damage it;
  • If the batteries are leaking liquid, replace them immediately, making sure to clean the battery compartment; thoroughly wash your hands if they have come into contact with the liquid;
  • Always remove the batteries if the product will not be used for a long period of time;
  • Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for the correct functioning of the product;
  • Never mix alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries;
  • Never mix new and old batteries;
  • Do not throw dead batteries in fire or leave them in the environment; they must be disposed of through waste sorting;
  • Do not short-circuit the power terminals;
  • Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries: they might explode;
  • The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended as the toy may not work properly;
  • When using rechargeable batteries, remove them from the toy before recharging and recharge only under the supervision of an adult;
  • Remove the batteries from the toy before disposing of it;
  • This product is not designed to be used with replaceable lithium batteries. WARNING Improper use may cause hazards.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking it to a separate waste disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by returning it to your dealer when you buy another similar appliance. The user is responsible for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the disused appliance is collected correctly as separate waste, it can be recycled, treated and disposed of ecologically; this avoids a negative impact on both the environment and health, and contributes towards the recycling of the product's materials. For further information regarding the waste disposal services available, contact your local waste disposal agency or the shop where you bought the appliance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • When not in use, store the toy in a place protected against sources of heat, dust and humidity.
  • Before cleaning, remove the electronic module from inside. The fabric part is machine washable using a cycle for delicate fabrics. Rinse the toy thoroughly to eliminate all traces of detergent.
