14. Separate casing and drive shaft (101). Tap
upper end of drive shaft with a soft-faced,
plastic hammer. To avoid damaging drive
shaft, do not use excessive force.
15. Tap bearing race out of casing.
16. Disassembly of motor has now been
completed, unless there is any reason to
suppose that drive shaft bearing has
become excessively worn.
If it is necessary, replace bearing by
pulling away stop ring (432) and spacer
(106). Put drive shaft in a press to
separate bearing cage from drive shaft.
