OPERATION


WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An
accidental start‑up can cause injury.

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

(Fig. H)

WARNING: Ensure the tool/appliance is in the off
position before inserting the battery pack.
nOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is
fully charged.
1. To install the battery pack 
the battery pack with the rails inside the tool's handle
and slide it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly
seated in the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.
2. To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the
battery pack release button 
battery pack out of the tool handle. Insert it into
the charger as described in the charger section of
this manual.
Proper Hand Position (Fig. I)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle

LED Worklight (Fig. A)

CAUTION: Do not stare into the LED. Serious eye
injury could result.
When the tool is activated by pressing the trigger switch 
the LED worklight 
will automatically turn on. The LED

worklight will turn off 60 seconds after the trigger switch has
been released.

will flash slowly when the battery
state of charge is low.

will flash fast if the nose equipment
is clogged. Refer to Cleaning the Nose Equipment or

Installing a Blind Rivet (Fig. G)
To Install a Blind Rivet
1. Place the blind rivet

2. Position the tool as shown in Proper Hand Position.
3. Pull and hold the trigger switch 
set in the application.
4. When the blind rivet has been set completely, release
the trigger switch. The tool will return to its initial
position automatically.
5. Tilt the unit backwards and the mandrel will go to the
mandrel collector

If you release the switch before the end of the setting

Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with
clean, dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk
of eye injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye
protection when performing this procedure.

WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh
chemicals for cleaning the non‑metallic parts of the
tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials
used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with
water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the
tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.

Cleaning the Nose Equipment or Replacing
Jaws (Fig. A, J)
1. Loosen the nose housing nut

2. Clean the inside of the nose housing using a dry cloth.
3. Pull back the locking sleeve 
arrow.
4. Untighten the pulling hull 
5. Clean the jaws 
If necessary, replace the jaws with spare jaws 
nOTE: When replacing the jaws, use only D
brand jaws.
6. Apply grease to the outside of the clamping jaw
assembly

7. Put the jaw assembly 
mount it onto the tool. Tighten the pulling hull by hand
and ensure it is secured by the locking sleeve 
nOTE: A molybdenum disulfide‑based grease
is recommended.
