    If smoke, odor, or noise is detected, immediately turn off the POWER switch and disconnect the power plug from the outlet (turning off the power of the NEC Express server can have the power of the Device Expansion Unit to be turned off).
  • Page 11 CAUTION Keep water or foreign objects away from the Device Expansion Unit. Do not let any form of liquid (water etc.) or foreign objects (e.g., pins or paper clips) enter the Device Expansion Unit. Failure to follow this warning may cause an electric shock, a fire, or a failure of the Device Expansion Unit.
  • Page 12 Power Supply and Power Cord Use WARNING Do not hold the power plug with wet hands. Do not disconnect/connect the plug while your hands are wet. Failure to follow this warning may cause an electric shock. Do not remove or defeat the ground prong on the power cord. This equipment has a 3-wire and grounded power code.
  • Page 13 CAUTION Do not use a power cord other than those specified. May cause a fire when the electric current of the power cord exceeds the rated flow. Also, observe the following to prevent an electric shock or fire caused by a damaged cord.
  • Page 14 Notes on Installing and Accessing the Rack Cabinet CAUTION Do not carry or install the rack only by a single person. More than one person is required to carry or install the rack. Failure to follow this instruction may cause the rack to fall and result in personal injury and/or breakage of surrounding devices.
  • Page 15 CAUTION Elevated Operating Ambient If installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly, the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be greater than room ambient. Therefore, consideration should be given to installing the equipment in an environment compatible with the maximum ambient temperature (Tma) specified by the manufacturer.
  • Page 16 Do not use any unauthorized interface cable. Use only interface cables provided by NEC and locate a proper device and a proper connector before connecting a cable. Using an authorized cable or connecting a cable to an improper destination may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire.
  • Page 17 WARNING Do not close the ventilation hole. Do not close fan or the front ventilation hole at the back of the Device Expansion Unit. Otherwise, its internal temperature will rise to cause malfunctions or a fire.   • Page 18 The Device Expansion Unit contains some components that are only good for a limited period of time and require replacement, such as the internal fan module and power unit. For stable operation of the Device Expansion Unit, NEC recommends you replace these components on a regular basis. Consult with your sales agent for replacement or the product lives.
  • Page 19 During Operation CAUTION Do not pull out or remove the Device Expansion Unit from the rack. Do not pull out or remove the device from the rack while the device is running. In addition to causing equipment to not function properly, separating the device from the rack may result in personal injury.

  • Page 27 机架的设置．使用相关注意事项 不要只由一人搬运或安装机架 搬运或安装机架时至少需要两人。如不遵守此指示，可能会导致机架倒塌，造 成人身伤害及/或损坏周围装置。尤其是高层机架（例如44U机架等），若未使 用稳定装置加以固定，就会不稳。支撑机架时，请务必由至少两人负责搬运或 安装。 设置时不得使载重集中 为避免机架及安装的设备重量过度集中，请安装稳定装置，或连接多台机架以 分散载重。否则机架可能倒塌而导致人员受伤。 不要只由一人安装零件 机架用门或轨道等零件请由 2 人以上安装。 此外，安装门时请确认上下的转轴插梢是否已确实插入。 散件掉落时不只会造成破损，同时可能有人员受伤的危险。 不要在机架不稳的情况下从机架拉出装置 务必在机架已经固定（透过安装稳定装置或耐震结构）的情况下，才能从机架 拉出装置。 否则，可能会导致机架倒塌。 不要从机架拉出多个装置而不归位 从机架拉出多个装置可能会导致机架倒塌。请一次只从机架拉出一个装置。 配线不得超过额定电源 为避免受伤或发生火灾、设备损伤，对机架供电的电源分路电路不要超过额定 负载。再者，电气设备的的配线及安装条件等，请与电气工程施工业者或管辖 电力公司联系。 - xxv -...

  • Page 29 有关安装、移动、保管、连接的注意事项 严禁一个人搬运 本装置最大重量为 20KG(根据构成不同） 。在安装机架或者移动的时候，必须 2 个人 以上或者使用升降机进行作业。一个人进行作业的话，会造成腰疼，装置落下而造成 受伤以及周边破损的情况发生。搬运时请抓紧装置底部。 不要将本设备安装或保管在未指定的场所 不要将本设备安放在如下所示的场所和本指南未指定的场所。 否则，有导致火灾的危 险。 ．灰尘较多的地方。 ．锅炉附近等潮湿的地方。 ．阳光直射的地方。 ．不平稳的地方。 禁止安装时无上盖 请不要在没有安装好装置上盖的情况下上架。没有安装上盖的话，不但降低装置内部 的冷却效果造成错误动作，而且会因积尘造成火灾和触电的情况发生。 不要夹住手指 在机架上安装/拆除之际，请特别留意手指不要被轨道等夹住或割伤。 禁止在未拔掉电源插头时装卸装置的界面连接线 请在电源插座上拔掉电源插头后再装卸装置的界面连接线。 若电源插头仍插在插座上 而触碰电线的话可能造成触电以及因短路所引发火灾的情况发生。还有，在装卸的时 候请先切断连接方的电源后再进行作业。 不要使用未指定电缆 请使用本公司指定的介面电缆及电源线，并确认连接的设备及连接器后再行连接。若 使用未指定的电缆、或连接设备错误，可能有发生火灾的危险。 此外，关于介面电缆的使用及连接，请遵守以下事项。 ・不要踩踏电缆。 ・不要在电缆上放置物品。 ・不要在电缆扭曲的状态下连接使用。 ・不要使用破损的电缆。 ・不要使用破损的电缆连接器。 ・确实锁紧螺丝固定器等。 - xxvii -...
