23. Prior to use, be sure to check the diam ond w heel in such details as crack, broken part,
bent part and the like. Don't use a diam ond w heel if any of the above defect is found on
the w heel. Also confirm that no abnorm ality exists by actual test running.
24. Proceed w ith cutting operation w hen full speed has been reached.
25. Do NOT apply excessive force.
26. When cutting concrete, tile, or stone, the m axim um cutting depth should be held to
w ithin 25/32" (20 m m ).
27. Never lay dow n the cutter w hile the diam ond w heel is revolving.
Also, do not stop the cutter w ith the diam ond w heel forcibly depressed against the
m aterial.
28. Exercise care to position the cutter at a safe, stable spot w hen cutting.
29. Take good care of the pow er tool and keep it clean.

DANGER!
a) Keep hands aw ay from cutting area and do not reach underneath the
w orkpiece. Contact w ith the w heel w ill result in injury.
b) Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the w orkpiece.
c) Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across your leg. Secure the
w orkpiece to a stable platform.
It is im portant to support the w ork properly to m inim ize body exposure, w heel binding,
or loss of control.
d) Never use damaged or incorrect w heel w ashers or bolt.
The w heel w ashers and bolt w ere specially designed for your saw , for optim um
perform ance and safety of operation.
Causes and operator prevention of kickback:
– kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or m isaligned w heel, causing an
uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the w orkpiece tow ard the operator.
– w hen the w heel is pinched or bound tightly by the kerf closing dow n, the w heel
stalls and the m otor reaction drives the unit rapidly back tow ard the operator.
Kickback is the result of saw m isuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions
and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below :
a) M aintain a firm grip on the saw and position your arms to resist kickback
forces.
Position your body either side of the w heel, but not in line w ith the w heel.
Kickback could cause the saw to jum p backw ards, but kickback forces can be controlled
by the operator, if proper precautions are taken.
