SYMPTOM
Poor weld properties
(severe spattering)
Tungsten electrode melting
(Tungsten inclusions in base metal
during the ignition phase)
WARNING: An electric shock can be fatal. Do not open the device.
An error is signalled by the following indicators flashing or lighting up:
SYMPTOM/ERROR
Error fl ashing, mains lit
Error fl ashing, mains fl ashing
Error lit, mains lit
Mains fuse or automatic circuit
breaker trips
CAUSE
Incorrect electrode polarity.
Poor grounding (earthing) connection.
Set-up parameters not ideal for selected
welding process.
Incorrect tungsten electrode polarity.
Incorrect (or no) shielding gas.
CHARGER TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
CAUSE
Battery fault.
Mains fault (overvoltage or undervoltage)
Charger fault
Mains fuse underrated/incorrect circuit
breaker
Mains fuse trips in open circuit

FIX
Reverse electrode polarity (refer to manufacturer's
instructions).
Fasten earthing clamps directly to workpiece.
Select best setting in set-up menu for selected
welding process.
Connect the TIG welding torch to the (-) current
socket.
Use inert shielding gas (argon).
FIX
Contact After-Sales Service.
Check mains supply voltage
Contact After-Sales Service
Fuse mains correctly
Contact After-Sales Service
