EVEREST 620 14A UNIX 2 polishing mandrel The mandrel is the drive unit for the fl attening, honing and polishing tools for granite and glazed stoneware; the satellite plateau, tangential unit and other parts used in the abovementioned operations are connected to this part.
EVEREST 620 14A ATTENTION The oscillating motion with variable step gearmotor system allows pieces of over 300 mm in width to be polished with the mobile bridge, so that, compared to fi xed bridge machines, more pieces can be processed at higher levels of quality.

EVEREST 620 14A Preliminary operations Checking for damage caused during transport Check the state of the machine by carrying out a visual inspection of the outer and inner parts. Any damage to visible parts may indicate that the machine has received knocks during transport, which may cause malfunction.

EVEREST 620 14A Storage The instructions contained in this section must be followed during temporary machine storage, which may occur in the following circumstances: • When the machine is not installed immediately after delivery. • When the machine is uninstalled and stored awaiting relocation.
EVEREST 620 14A WARNING: It is absolutely forbidden to climb on top of the boxes or to store one on top of the other. • If it is necessary to keep the crates outside for any length of time before taking them inside, cover them with waterproof sheeting.

The machine must be used indoors and protected from direct contact with weather elements. Flooring BMR S.p.A. provides a detailed design for the machine foundations (see Machine Foundation Design) which must be used for this machine. Casting must be carried out at least 10 days before machine installation so that the concrete can set properly and subsequent subsidence is avoided.

EVEREST 620 14A Testing Machines are tested at the manufacturer’s premises before delivery to the customer. This includes: • General adjustment of the machine, its auxiliary equipment and the protective devices. • Tests to check adjustments (motor rotation, water and pneumatic seals and safety devices and limit switches).
Italy, refer to Legislative Decree no. 277, of 15.08.95. WARNING: Do not use the machine with slabs which are larger or thicker than those recommended by BMR S.p.A. Never work at the minimum or maximum machine values. Never use abrasive disks which are different from those stated.
